Imogen’s Week

Iarrived in Sheffield and went straight to our first meeting point in the center, here I met everyone involved in this project. It was a lovely way to meet everyone in an informal environment. The next morning we all met at the conference center for introductory talks and an ice breaker session. This day was very useful as everyone got a good overview of the scope and direction of this consortium. In this way we all began to understand how our projects related to each other and how we can contribute to one another’s work.

Following this we went for a good meal and began to get to know each other on a more personal level. I was very impressed that the week was set up not only to inform us on how the TRAIN program was going to progress but also to encourage us to form a strong network. Indeed this was the case, the rest of the week continued in a similar vein and was genuinely enjoyable and informative.  I am now looking forward to our next meeting in which we can discuss the progression of our individual projects and how we hope to progress.
